Our story

From hotel agency to
leading meeting platform

2013
The first steps together. Malte Ahl and Philipp Gerth meet while studying management and launch Hogama, an online marketing agency for the hotel industry.
2014
tagungshotel.net is founded. Their experience with hotels leads to a clear idea: finding conference hotels should be simple, transparent and comparable. In the same year, they founded the company together.
2016
Conversion into a GmbH. The growing team converts the company into a GmbH to support further growth.
2018
A growing hotel network. The team continues to expand the platform and connects more and more meeting planners with suitable hotels in German-speaking markets.
2024
Expansion and first international step. With the launch in Austria, tagungshotel.net extends its offering beyond Germany.
Today
A leading meeting platform. Today, tagungshotel.net is one of the most important platforms for meeting planners in Germany, according to a survey by the German Hotel Association IHA.
