Our perfect duo for life’s most enjoyable moments. The hotel is certified with the Bronze Organic Seal. At Scandic Nürnberg Central, we offer a wide variety of options throughout the day, depending on your culinary preferences and mood. Starting in the morning, the Public Kitchen & Bar restaurant features a breakfast buffet that impresses with its commitment to sustainability—featuring at least 50 percent organic ingredients, Fair Trade coffee, and a strong focus on regional and seasonal products. And because we Swedes have a soft spot for interior design, stucco ceilings, subdued colors, and fabrics like velvet create an elegant yet cozy atmosphere. In the evening, too, our restaurant is the place to eat. On the creative menu, silken tofu feels right at home alongside pork belly and sauerkraut. Franconian fusion cuisine that reinterprets traditional dishes through different preparation methods or a modern twist. Paired with local craft beers and wines or homemade lemonades. Planning something special? Then reserve one of two separate areas to celebrate birthdays or weddings in a private setting. The Blend—our take on work-life balance. Here, a coffee shop meets a bar, and your laptop meets delicious treats. Ideal when you need to get going quickly in the morning or want to meet up with friends or colleagues for a drink. In addition to sweet desserts in a glass and excellent coffee made from locally roasted beans, we also offer colorful bowls, cakes, and savory bites throughout the day. Of course, all our coffee specialties are available with plant-based milk alternatives, and you’ll find plenty of vegan snacks here.

The Imperial Castle, half-timbered houses, a beautifully preserved city wall, and a labyrinth of cellar passages—in Nuremberg’s Old Town, history awaits around every corner. All the better that the Scandic Nürnberg Central is just a few minutes away from all these sights. As our address, Frauentorgraben, already suggests. The Frauentormauer, located directly behind us, is part of the impressive city wall—so your sightseeing tour really does begin right at our hotel’s doorstep. Also within easy reach on foot or by public transportation is the Albrecht Dürer House, one of the city’s most popular museums. In addition to art and culture, all kinds of culinary delights also shape Nuremberg’s cityscape. For example, from Monday through Saturday, a weekly market with around 40 vendors takes place at the Hauptmarkt. One of the highlights: “3 im Weggla” or “Franken To Go.” This refers to three small grilled sausages in a crispy roll with mustard. Every year, the central square is home to the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt, one of the oldest Christmas markets in the world. Alongside the Nuremberg Christkind, who ceremoniously opens the market, the famous gingerbread cookies take center stage here.

After a few laps in the heated indoor pool, you can enjoy the cozy warmth of the Finnish sauna and the bio-sauna. Comfortable loungers then invite you to unwind. Muted colors, wooden accents, and indirect lighting with soft glow make the wellness and pool area a treat for all the senses. And it’s open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; the saunas are heated starting at 4 p.m. on weekdays and as early as noon on weekends. Come in and unwind just the way we like it. On the top floor of the hotel, the newly renovated fitness area awaits with state-of-the-art equipment. It includes a dedicated area for yoga sessions and stretching classes, as well as a 180-degree panoramic view of the historic old town. You can work out with a stunning view here every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
