Lage & Anfahrt

It was created in 1746 as a reservoir for timber rafting and has been a tourist destination since 1884. It is the largest lake in the Swabian Forest and a popular destination for the whole family, and not just in summer. Thanks to its wonderful location and the surrounding mixed forest, it is a popular recreational area all year round, with designated barbecue areas and sunbathing lawns around the lake. A rowing and pedal boat rental is located directly at the hotel, and fishing licenses can be purchased at the hotel (only with an annual fishing license). Kaisersbach is located in the middle of the Welzheim Forest and is part of the beautiful Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park.
